That’s why we host Kids Fishing Day events — free, community-based outings designed to introduce children to the joy of fishing in a fun, supportive, and educational setting.
Whether your child has never held a rod or already has a favorite fishing spot, these events are a great way to build confidence, create memories, and foster a lifelong love of the outdoors.
What Is Kids Fishing Day?
Kids Fishing Day is a seasonal event that gives local youth the opportunity to:
Learn how to fish from friendly, experienced volunteers
Use real fishing gear (rods, reels, bait provided)
Catch fish in a stocked, accessible location
Enjoy games, prizes, food, and outdoor fun
Connect with peers and the local outdoor community
Who Can Attend?
Kids Fishing Day is open to:
- Children ages 4–15 (age range may vary by event)
- Parents, guardians, and siblings (family attendance encouraged)
- First-time and beginner youth anglers
- Local families, schools, and community organizations
Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Participation is free, but registration may be required depending on the event size and location.
